Sibu, Sarawak

Last week, I accompanied my friend to Sibu, Sarawak. She went on a job responsibility basis. But I decided to take this opportunity to take a break from work! “Cuti-cuti Malaysia! Yeah!”

I nearly cancelled the trip! because of fever and flu the day before departure. Oh dear! Last minute cancellation, NOT ALLOWED lah!!! NON REFUNDABLE! Erks!!! Aiyak... I don't want to waste my money.

Here I am... Sibu my destination!

Our flight is scheduled to depart at 3:25pm from Senai Airport. While waiting for boarding, we took the chance to snap some photos in the waiting area. We’re just like some kindergarten kids. Hahaha...

We just can’t stop clicking the camera’s button even though we’re seated in the plane! The sweet stewardess just looked at us, with her sweet smile. The photo in the middle, was when we just arrived at the RH Hotel, Sibu. These were our first dishes. "Steam Vegetables" and "Taufu Soup.” The vegetables were really fresh! And these are "Fried Cuttlefish with mayonnaise" and "Fried Prawn with egg".The Special dishes, "Steam Snow Fish" and "Ambal Curry". My friends do not want to touch that "Ambal". They said it's likes "ulat". Hahaha... but not to me. I think ambal is more likes shellfish. How about the snow fish? The fish was so sweet. Delicious! 'Eastern Times' is Sarawak's newspaper. We felt queer to read this news paper. My friend complaint "I missed Harian Metro this morning." Hahaha...Second day - We went to Sibu Market. There are so many fresh vegetables and queer things here. Something special about Sibu Market is, the floor is very clean and clear. Means? NOT wet!'Ayam Tuai' and this is very special. They wrapped the chicken in newspaper before selling it. See... all the chickens are so obedient. Some of them are sleeping. They are really silent. Hehehe...'Durian Mukah' are also something special in Sibu. I never come across yellow colored durian. Durian Mukah is smaller than local durian. It's forest durian.

After all that shopping at Sibu’s Market, we went back to the hotel room to unpack and get some rest. Remember! 15kg is all that’s allowed for your luggage. More than 15kg, be prepared to pay the extra luggage fee. I never want to do that! Don't worry. I do not buy any 'Ayam Tuai' or 'Durian Mukah'. I only brought the pictures back to Johor. Another thing about Sibu market, the hawkers use only black plastic bags.

Ready for the next shopping spree! Picture belows - In front of the lift door and hotel entrance. We went to Parkson Sibu at Wisma Sanyan. I entered a bookstore to see if there’s any latest novels in store, but there isn’t any that interest me. Nevertheless, I took some pictures while in a toy shop and the bookstore.Shoes... sorry, I didn't buy any shoes. Hahaha... but I appointed myself to be Celcom's model. I showed that celcom's photo to my friend and he said "Eh... eh... you look like Fasha Sanda la". Bluuweeeekk... I need a plastic bag! Fasha Sanda? No. I thought that I mostly look like Siti Nurhaliza! Wakakakaka... anybody needs a plastic bag? I have extra black plastic bags here.In front of Wisma Sanyan. Wisma Sanyan is behind RH Hotel, a few minutes walk from the hotel. My friend asked me, "Why you always want to snap photos?" They don't like to snap photo but I forced them to snap pictures of me. Hehehe... To be continue...
